You are able to make transactions through any PBVN branch/transaction bureau.

Current account is a non term deposit account being used for payment services supplied by the bank.

Subjects opening current accounts at PBVN shall include:

  • Individuals who may open payment accounts at PBVN shall include: Persons who are aged exactly 18 years or older and have full capacity for civil acts as regulated by the Law of Vietnam; Persons who are aged between exactly 15 and nearly 18 years and do not have their incapacity or restricted capacity for civil acts; Persons who are under the age of 15 years, have restricted capacity for civil acts or are incapable of civil acts as defined by the Law of Vietnam are entitled to open payment accounts via their legal representatives; Persons who have limited cognition and behavioral control as defined by the Law of Vietnam may open payment accounts via their guardians.
  • Organizations that are duly established and operate under the Law of Vietnam, including: legal entities, private enterprises, household businesses and other organization are allowed to open payment accounts at PBVN.

Savings Deposit means an amount of money that a depositor deposits at PBVN following the principle that principal and interest will be paid in full in accordance with an agreement with PBVN. Savings Deposit includes Non-term savings deposit (i.e the savings deposit which depositor can withdraw at request without prior notice on any PBVN working day) and Terms savings deposit (i.e savings deposit that depositor agrees with PBVN’s specific savings terms).

Subjects placing Savings Deposit at PBVN shall include:

  • Vietnamese citizens who are 18 years-old or older and have full civil capacity as per the law;
  • Vietnamese citizens who are 15 years-old to less than 18 years-old and not restricted in legal capacity or without legal capacity as per the law;
  • Vietnamese citizens who are restricted in legal capacity or without legal capacity as per the law or are under 15 years-old shall conduct savings deposit transactions via the representatives by law; Vietnamese citizens with limited cognition or behavior control as defined by the law shall conduct savings deposit transactions via their guardians.

Customer can check the Savings deposit account via internet banking service and  SMS service of PBVN.

Multiple placements into PBVN Savings Deposit are allowed.

In case the Savings deposit receipt/passbook is lost, customer must immediately notify PBVN in writing. Upon receipt of the written notification of customer, PBVN will earmark the account. Customer shall contact the account holding branch/transaction bureau for further information.

For crumpled, torn passbook, customer is to contact the account holding branch/transaction bureau for further guidance.

Fixed deposit means an amount of money of a customer held at PBVN for a fixed term as agreed upon between the customer and PBVN with the principle of full payment of principal and interest to the customer. Customer may only place a fixed deposit and receive payment thereof via his/her deposit account.

Subjects placing Fixed Deposit at PBVN shall include:

  1. Residents being organizations or individuals;
  2. Non-residents including:
  • Diplomatic missions, consulates, representative bodies of international organizations in Vietnam; representative offices, project offices of foreign organizations in Vietnam;
  • Vietnamese citizens not prescribed in Point e and g Clause 2 Article 4 of Ordinance on Foreign Exchange No. 28/2005/PL-UBTVQH11 (amended and supplemented by Ordinance No. 06/2013/UBTVQH13);
  • Foreign individuals permitted to reside in Vietnam for at least 06 months.

Multiple placements into PBVN Fixed deposits are allowed.

PBVN Fixed deposit withdrawals can be performed at the counter of any PBVN branch/transaction bureau.

Customer can check the Fixed deposit account via internet banking service and  SMS service of PBVN.

PBVN Domestic Debit Card  is used to make the following card transactions: Cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, mini statement, internal fund transfer, cash receipt from other banks’ accounts via card number, online shopping, POS payment in supermarkets, restaurants, shops, etc.

Right after receiving the Card and PIN, you need to change the PIN which the bank has supplied at any ATM of PBVN.

If any problem arising with the card while conducting card transaction at ATM Booth (card is retained, account is debited when cash is not dispensed, etc.) or at POS (unable to make payment, account debited 02 times, etc.), please contact Card Services support 24/7 of PBVN at hotline: 1800 599 930 or contact the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau.

In case you forget PIN, please contact your account holding Branch/ Transaction Bureau.  

You could temporarily block your card by the following methods:

  • Immediately contact PBVN Card Services hotline at 1800 599 930 or contact the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau;
  • Send SMS to 8149 or 8049 with the following syntax: PB BLK [5 last numbers of domestic debit card]. Then kindly approach your Card Issuance Branch/Transaction Bureau if you want to replace a new card.

In case you want to make online payment with the PBVN domestic debit card, please register E-commerce payment service at the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau.

No. PBVN Domestic Debit card can be used at ATM/ POS accepted Napas card and PBVN ATM accept Domestic Debit card issued by Napas bank member only.

Transaction limit is updated on PBVN website. Customer also can contact PBVN Card Services hotline number at 1800 599 930 or contact the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau.

PBVN e-banking service is an Online Banking Service built on informatics and internet applications to provide customers a Banking service solution which is available anytime, anywhere, safe, stable and effective.

You do not need to pay any fee to register for the service. The Bank will debit an amount for using e-banking service from your account on mothly basis. This fee depends on PBVN fees and charges officially uploaded in the Bank’s website in each period.

You need an internet connected computer with suitable browser (Mozilla Firefox, IE6+, etc.). Please turn on Javascript and Pop-up function of the browser for the service to work best. In addition, based on your registered security method and PBVN‘s regulation from time to time, you need to install Smart OTP application on your phone or use the security device (Token Key) provided by the Bank.

As a security measure, your e-banking session will be automatically terminated if you leave your e-banking idle in a certain period of time. However, you must always ensure to properly logout after each Internet Banking session.

Kindly approach the branch/transaction bureau where you register using e-banking for terminating your e-banking service.

You can visit one of the branches/transaction bureaus of PBVN nationwide, receive and fill in full of information in the “Application form to use Public Bank Vietnam e-banking service”, or you can click here to download the “Application form to use Public Bank Vietnam e-banking service”, and submit the completed form to the nearest branch/transaction bureau  of PBVN. Please be noted that upon completion of registering e-banking service, all current accounts opened at PBVN of customers shall use this service.

To log in, please visit https://ebank.publicbank.com.vn, click on Log in e-banking service button on the left hand side of the homepage and key in the following information:

- User name and password

- Series of security number in the interface

- Verification code from Token Key (if registered)

You are required to change password at the first log in.

If you forget your password, please refer to the User Guide of resetting password via E-banking website uploaded on the bank’s website (click here) or contact the nearest Branch/Transaction Bureau of PBVN for assistance.

Do not use your personal information such as your or your relative birthday, identity card, telephone number as your password, etc. The alphabet for password is case sensitive. Please remember whether you have used the small or capital letter for your password.

You should change your password frequently (at least once a year) and should not choose a password used before.

OTP is one-time password for verification provided by PBVN when you conduct transactions on e-banking. This password could be used one time only for your security.

Token Key is the device generating random verification code, this verification code is valid for 01 time only. When you press the button on the Token Key, the device will display a verification code existing in 15 seconds to allow you to key in the system.

The verification code generated from Token Key is a random number generated by algorithms with high security standard. The possibility of imitating this number is extremely low because it is time sensitive existence.

You could choose one of the following methods to receive OTP Verification Code:

  • By SMS Message
  • By Token Key
  • By Smart OTP

  • SMS OTP: is verification method in which OTP is sent via SMS to your registered mobile phone number.
  • Smart OTP: is verification method in which OTP is created via the application installed in your mobile device (Smartphone, ipad, tablet, etc.)
  • Token Key is verification method in which OTP is created via Token Key device provided by PBVN.

If you want to change the registered mobile phone number receiving OTP, kindly approach our Branch/Transaction Bureau

Each Token Key is declared in the e-banking system to attach with only one unique username. There is no second Token Key for back up purpose. In case of loss of Token Key, please contact the Bank for solution.

When e-banking service requires you to key in the verification code, please press the button on the Token Key to display the verification code, and key in this code in the verification box on the screen.

The verification code will be displayed in Token Key for 15 seconds and the Token Key screen will be automatically turned off after those 15 seconds.

If the verification code is not acceptable, you can attempt to press the button on the Token Key another time to get the new verification code. If you still encounter difficulties, please contact the nearest branch/transaction bureau of PBVN to get more supports.

Token Key is powered by a battery inside.

No. In case, the Token Key does not work, please contact Public Bank Vietnam to have more guidance or to have new Token Key.

No. Each user will be granted only one Token Key for private utilization.

According to the requirement of the State Bank of Vietnam  and Internal Guideline of PBVN, please note that Smart OTP verification is required to verify transactions exceeding daily limit of 100 million VND or equivalent.

PBVN Smart OTP is free for all customers.

In order to use PBVN Smart OTP, Customers are required to download PBVN Smart OTP application on mobile devices and follow PBVN Smart OTP User Guide (click here) or contact PBVN’s branch/transaction bureau for further guidance.

No. Smart OTP for a single e-banking account can only be activated on a single mobile device, cannot be activated on multiple devices.

  • Smart-OTP verification is required to perform transactions exceeding daily limit of 100 million VND or equivalent.
  • If you want to deactivate the Smart OTP, and switch to another verification method (SMS/Hard Token), please come to any PBVN branch counter to register to change verification method.
  • If the Smart OTP installed device is lost/changed or the passcode forgotten/keyed in wrongly more than 05 times, please follow PBVN Smart OTP User Guide (click here) or contact PBVN’s branch/transaction bureau for further guidance.

For the fund transfer inside PBVN: The system will execute the fund transfer transaction immediately. You will be informed by SMS that transaction is successful and the bank has debited your account or click on the menu “Bank statement” to see the list of transactions made to your account.

For the fund transfer outside PBVN:

  • For the account of beneficiary belongs to the Bank which participates in 24/7 quick interbank funds transfer service: The system will execute the fund transfer transaction immediately. You will be informed by SMS that transaction is successful and the bank has debited your account or  click on the menu “Bank statement” to see the list of transactions made to your account.
  • For the account of beneficiary belong to the Bank which does not participate in 24/7 quick interbank: The Bank will execute the fund transfer transaction in the working timeframe in line with the regulated working timeframe. Please click menu “Fund transfer” -> “Fund transfer outside Public Bank Vietnam” to see the list of fund transfer transaction and the status of the transactions.

When registering for the e-banking service, you can register list of Beneficiary accounts which you can make payment to these designated accounts only. This way, you can control your fund transfer transactions more efficiently.

Customer shall contact the account holding branch/transaction bureau or contact Customer Service number of PBVN at 1800 1198 for details guidance.
