Credit card scam tricks and how to avoid

Dear Valued Customers,

Recently, there have been some new scam tricks targeting credit cardholders. Scammers impersonated bank employee to illegally obtain money from customer.

The detail of scam trick is as below:

• The scammer pretended to be bank employees to call cardholders;
• They suggest the cardholder withdrawing cash from credit cards with no fees. In order to do this, they require cardholders to provide photos of both sides of their credit cards, along with the OTP code for payment;
• When the necessary information is fully in hand, these suspects are able to make fraudulent transactions with the cardholder’s information .

Top tips to stay safe from the above-mentioned scams:

• Do not disclose/share your bank account number, card number and user name, especially entering password and OTP code into unknown websites, PBVN fake websites or any suspected link from SMS/email/social networks like Zalo, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Do not disclose any E-banking security information or OTP code for any caller even if he/she claims to be a bank employee or an investigation agency.
