Dear Valued Customers, Recently, there has been an increasing number of deceptive tactics, such as impersonation of government officials (i.e. tax officer) to contact with the business owner, accountant or manager of the company for the reason of providing support on tax settlement, tax exemption or requesting update tax declaration information.
The scammers send fake links and request you to install application to receive support. In the case you accepted and granted right to the application to access your device, your personal/confidential information in the phone may be stolen and subsequently your bank accounts/financial applications may be appropriated by the scammers.
To avoid being scammed by the above tactics, kindly apply the following safety tips: • Increase your vigilance, do not follow instructions from strangers over the phone, even if they claim to be officials from Tax Authorities, Customs, Police or other government agencies; • Do not access or install applications from unknown sources; • Increase the usage of biometric methods (i.e. FaceID, fingerprint); • Do not auto-save password and username of bank/financial applications on your phone.
