In order to strengthen the protection of customer’s accounts in compliance with the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) instruction in Decision No. 2345/QĐ-NHNN, from 01/07/2024, Public Bank Vietnam (PBVN) officially implements facial biometric identification method for some online transactions as regulated by SBV.
Facial biometric identification safeguards against unauthorized access and minimizes the risk of fraudulent activities, ensuring greater peace of mind and trust for our customers when making online transactions, particularly those involving high-value transfers.
Additionally, to ensure that the verification of customers’ face biometric is secured, PBVN strongly advises customers to raise vigilance and refrain from updating biometric information through any website or application other than PBVN’s official channels. PBVN never requests customers to disclose confidential information such as OTP codes, passwords, card numbers, or security key codes via phone calls or links.
