Warning on fraudulent activities using SMS brandname
Dear Valued Customers,
We wish to alert you on the increasing number of fraudulent activities using SMS brandname of banks, by sending SMS to deceive customers with the purpose of stealing e-banking account information and transferring money to accounts of swindlers.
In view of the above, the Bank advises you on the below in order to keep your personal accounts safe:
1. Manually type the address of Public Bank Vietnam e-banking website as following link to the web browser: https://www.ebank.publicbank.com.vn instead of choosing available links to avoid accessing to counterfeit websites.
2. Do not use public computers or public wifi to access e-banking system.
3. Do not provide username, password of e-banking, authentication code, card number via phone, email, social network and websites.
4. For E-banking password: The password should be unpredictable, change password regularly or when suspect that it has been compromised, do not use auto-saving password function, do not use one password to login to e-banking and email or social network websites.
5. Register to receive SMS on account balance change.
6. Register to use Smart OTP verification method when performing online transactions.
7. Follow and update regular warnings on online transactions from Public Bank Vietnam and mass media.
